One possibly wounded in motel shooting

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - A possible Dothan shooting Wednesday is under investigation amid conflicting reports whether bullets struck anyone.

The gunfire occurred about 6:15 at American Inn, a budget motel along East Main Street, about one-half mile east of Ross Clark Circle.

Traffic along the busy highway, also known as U.S. 84, was slowed with lanes in both directions closed as officers investigated the broad crimes scene.

Dothan Police Chief Will Benny tells News4 that there was a fight between the individuals involved, and one person shot at the other, but did not make clear if someone was hit.
