DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -The Hartford Police Department is protecting, serving, and making children’s Christmas wishes come true.

The department is sponsoring its first Wall of Angels.

The community is invited to go into the station and pick an angel.

Children’s shoe and clothing sizes are listed on the angel as well as a toy the child would like for Christmas.

Sixty angels across the city and county were signed up; twenty of them are still waiting to be adopted.

“With covid and everything going on in the country I think people just need a little help right now. I think that this will definitely be helpful for a lot of people and our community and communities surrounding,” says Hartford Police Department investigator Sargeant Zachary Cooke.

Registration for the program has ended.

The last day to drop off donations for angels is December 18th.
