DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - A popular holiday tradition is set to begin next week.

The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens is bringing back its annual Gardens Aglow attraction, but things will be a little bit different this year.

You must purchase a pre-paid ticket this year. The change is to help limit the capacity at one time so that social distancing and other coronavirus health guidelines can be adhered.

A limited number of tickets are available each day.

Gardens Aglow is from 5 pm to 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas..

The attraction features holiday displays and thousands of Christmas lights scattered around the walking trail.

“It’s the holiday season,” said William Holman, Executive Director of the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens. “People are looking for things to do and particularly, if you have guests from out of town, its a nice thing to do for out of town company. But we are now in our 8th year and it gets better every year. We add more lights every year, so it continues to grow every year.”

To help distribute the crowd more evenly, a limited number of tickets will be available for each date and each time slot per evening.

Admission to the popular event is $8 per person, with free admission to visitors age 8 and younger.

To purchase your tickets, visit www.dabg.com or call the gardens office at 334-793-3224.
